Is America slipping into a complete "entitlement" Nation?

We used to be a nation that worked hard with the goal of providing for our children and hope that they would achieve more than their parents. There is a large portion of this country who thinks that money, security, and basic needs should be provided by those they deem as having too much. There are those who rather exploit people than make the sacrifices that our grandparents made. We are trying to tax ourselves out of entitlement but it just can't happen.
