Is my driving record screwed if i accidently went through a red light?

i was driving with my younger brother and could barely see the color of the lights in the sun but my brother yelled at me to go as it was green, he said. on impulse, i did as i was bombarded in traffic. i am seriously worried that my driving record is in jeopardy. am i overdoing it?
