Houseplants and moss poles?

Quite understand your problem, shop bought ones are a plastic tube with moss wrapped around. the moss is so thin it is almost impossible to keep damp. Maybe you could make your own moss pole? all you need is some chicken wire, wrap it around your existing pole to get the shape. then fill it with sphagnum moss(available at garden centres). then you can gently pour tepid water down the centre of the pole to keep it moist. good luck
